Here are a few events we have planned over the next few months:
In March we'll be competing once again a the Pennsylvania Alpaca Owners and Breeder Association (PAOBA) Breeders Showcase at the Grange Fairgrounds in Centre Hall, PA. Last year two out of three of our alpacas took ribbons with one taking a surprising 2nd place among some stiff competition. We only have one entrant this time around but we're excited to see how he will stack up against Pennsylvania's best!
In late April we will attend the Mid Atlantic Alpaca Association (MAPACA) Jubilee at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg. This is one of the largest alpaca shows in the country and is free and open to the public. We will be competing here as well against alpaca breeders from the entire mid-atlantic region. Last year 3 of the 5 alpacas we entered won ribbons
We've been invited to bring some of our fleecy friends to the Mennohaven retirement community in late May. We enjoy introducing our alpacas to the residents almost as much as they enjoy interacting with them!
We are expecting 2 baby alpacas (called crias) in late May or early June and 3 more in November. Plan a farm visit for the whole family to see why we say "YES, They ARE cuter than puppies and kittens!"
We are Jay & Kathy Brown of Sugar Hollow Farm Alpacas in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. Learn more about us here.
