Summer is moving quickly and Fall will soon be upon us. It's time to start thinking about crisp cool mornings, harvest festivals, hot apple cider, and chilly nights. That also means soft and warm cool weather apparel made of alpaca fiber. Here's a list of events where you can visit alpacas and shop for alpaca fiber products for that special someone, or even yourself!
National Alpaca Farm days - September 28 - 29. Come to our annual open house to kick off the Fall Event season. Our farm will be open from 10:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, Sept. 28 and from 1:00 to 4:00 on Sunday Sept. 29. Tour the barn, visit with the alpacas (and pigs, chickens, llamas, barn cats, and Molly - the world's friendliest dog), and shop in our farm store for the warm alpaca apparel you'll want as the days and nights start to turn cooler.
Waynesboro Market Days - Saturday, October 5. Come and celebrate on Main Street in downtown Waynesboro. We'll be located in the same spot as the last 2 years - near the crosswalk on the south side of Main across the street from James and Jess' House of Goods. We'll have alpaca products for sale and some of our fleecy friends for you to greet.
Holiday Pop-up Shops. Although not yet official we are assuming that downtown Waynesboro will again be hosting the Holiday Pop-up shops as it has the past 3 years - the weekends before and after Thanksgiving and the first full weekend of December. If they do, look for us to find that special alpaca gift for that very special someone!
Holiday Open Farm - Saturday, December 14. Despite the stormy weather last year's Holiday Open Farm was quite a success, so we've decided to make it an annual tradition. Bring the family out to visit the alpacas, have some Holiday treats and hot apple cider, tour the farm, and put the finishing touches on your Holiday shopping with the perfect alpaca gift from our farm store.
